From the Principal

Welcome to Hope Street Elementary School!

We are excited you are visiting our website to learn more about our amazing learning environment.  Hope Street Elementary School serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, with a focus on developing students who have a strong foundation of the skills they need to be successful in their secondary education, college and careers.

A 21st Century Focus

Hope Street’s staff is committed to providing a learning environment where students are moving beyond the basic elementary school curriculum to what is often called the “super skills” of the 21st Century: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity. Students are learning and applying their knowledge to help solve real-life problems, think critically and prepare to be productive members of their communities. Whether its reading or writing, math or science and social studies, you will see students working together and sharing their ideas.

Learning Must Be Fun

We also believe that school should be a positive place for our students. Our staff collaborates to build safe and supportive relationships with all students, our classrooms are alive with technology and hands-on activities, and when you walk through the doors, you can hear learning come alive.  We hope you will stop by and see the amazing things happening!

You Matter

At Hope Street, we also believe our parents are vital to our success. We invite you to participate in our school community through a variety of volunteer opportunities.  From volunteering in the classroom, helping with student drop-off or serving on a governing council, there is an opportunity for everyone.

I am proud of all of our Hope Street CHAMPS, both students and staff! I look forward to working with all our families to become our neighborhood school of choice!
